Axell’s ailia SDK, initially tested on MediaTek’s Genio1200 platform, has shown exceptional versatility and performance when integrated with VIA’s hardware, beginning with the SOM-7000. This successful integration led to expanded compatibility across other VIA products, such as the SOM-5000, VAB-5000, and ARTiGO A5000, enabling VIA’s systems to handle complex AI tasks with improved speed and efficiency—an essential quality for real-time, resource-limited environments.
A notable test on the VAB-5000 showcased significant performance improvements by shifting AI processing from the CPU to MediaTek’s dedicated AI Processing Unit (APU), which accelerates inference times. With ailia SDK’s support for ONNX and TensorFlow Lite models, VIA’s hardware platforms achieve optimized, quantized model processing, reducing memory load and enhancing computation speeds—an ideal solution for resource-limited environments requiring efficient, real-time AI.
